Because we will hapilly admit that we weren’t huge fans of the original which tried to stradle the world of slot machines and social gaming, but (in our opinion) failed.
However, what they didn’t manage to do with the first, they’ve more than improved in this Castle Builder 2 slot game.
A never-ending quest to build castles
And that’s a good thing. Whilst we struggled to want to finish the first game, which we did fairly quickly, with this Castle Builders II game, ending the game is only the beginning.
That’s because you get 3 characters, and once you’ve completed building every castle on the map, you gain a cup which upgrades your avatar.
This gives them special skills, and more importantly, improved the pay out rate of this slot machine.
The RTP starts at a decent 95.5%, but if you get all the way to the diamond cup, it increases to an amazing 97.75%. Higher than any other slot machine on mobile that we can think of.
It takes a while, but building castles is surprisingly compulsive.

Ok granted, with talks of cups, achievements, maps and castles, it can be difficult to see that actually this is an incredibly simple casino slot.
With 15 paylines and 5 reels, you basically spin to win, as you do any other gambling game.
The difference is that as you win, you collect building materials, and build castles, and play on different backgrounds (kingdoms).

Castle Builder 2 Bonus Features
The Lobby and Your 3 Avatars: The first page asks you to choose between 3 avatars.
- Sam: Master builder. No bonus games, but you build castles faster.
- Mandy: The Charm card. Not as quick at building castles, but you get free spins bonuses (to start with, 10 free spins on 3 scatters, but no multipliers).
- Igor (you need to unlock): Master builder and a wild card. He's a quick builder and you get expanded wilds.
How do you unlock Igor? By building all the castles (or completing the game) with either Sam or Mandy.
Doesn't take as long as you might think.
What happens when you complete the game: By completing the game, we should say 'build all the castles on the map using one of the characters'.
But that doesn't mean it's the end of the Castle Builder II mobile game.
Oh no. What that means is that you've completed the bronze cup, and you can now go and compete in the Silver, Gold, and Diamond cup.
Not only does the skill of your avatar increase (ie. you get more free spins when playing with Mandy, for example), but the games pays out more often.

How to build castles: Once you've picked your avatar, it's time to start spinning.
You'll travel through kingdoms, and in each kingdom there is about 3/4 castle to build.
Click on one, and you get a 15 payline reel slot, where you spin to win, like any other fruity.
Except when you win using the building material symbols, you'll start making a 'building block'.
Once a building block is complete, you complete some of the castle.
Sometimes it takes 6 building blocks, sometimes 12, sometimes anything in between, to complete a castle.
