Yggdrasil Gaming slots are never very complicated and can be 50/50 in terms of fun. Jokerizer is fun but dangerous, but Robotnik wasn’t very well thought out. Then came the brilliant Winterberries slot machine and we figured that Yggdrasil was starting to become a contender on the scene.
Fruitoids mobile slot is an almost exact copy of Winterberries. So if you enjoyed one, you’ll enjoy the other; it’s all a matter of theme and slight variance on the paytable. And at that the themes are incredibly similar in look and feel; except one is about frozen berries and the other is frozen… alien fruit? Which made it a little bit more quirky for us anyway. The background music is also strangely hypnotic.
Sticky wins, multipliers and free re-spins
When you have a winning payline, those fruits become frozen and give you one free spin to try and get more of the same symbol. If you do, those symbols will freeze again and you’ll get one more free spin to try and get more fruits. If you manage to fill a whole column of fruit from left to right, you’ll get a bigger multiplier (see full description in our feature section below).
It’s the only bonus feature in the game and we never found it boring. It’s the kind of feature that keeps on giving and every time we saw those strange alien plants freeze up, our little heart called home.
Fruitoids slot game’s paytable
Here’s the main difference to Winterberries. Fruitoids slot machine is a little more forgiving. Which means that whilst you still have to be careful with your budget, it pays out more often but the symbols are worth less than in the Winterberries slot.
So it all depends on what you want. We liked Fruitoids mobile slot because it felt less risky than Winterberries. Sure, getting a whole screen of symbols will pay out less, but how often do you get those big wins really? If that’s what you play for then the berries are more your style. But if you want hope of decent wins, without watching your cash disappear too quickly (still watch it!) then Fruitoids video slot is a slightly safer bet.

Fruitoids Bonus Features
Sticky Wins: Every time you get symbols on a winning payline, these freeze and give you one free re-spin on the rest of the five reels. If you manage to get more of the same symbol, these will keep freezing and you'll keep getting a free spin until no more symbols of that kind show up. The grand total win is then calculated.
Increasing Multipliers: If you manage to cover the reels, left to right, with frozen symbols you get a bigger multiplier up to 5x. So if you cover reel 1, you get a 1x multiplier, reels 1 + 2 = 2x multiplier. Reels 1, 2 +3 = 3x multiplier and so on till you have all five reels covered in frozen symbols giving you 25 five of a kind wins with a 5x multiplier. This is where the big slot wins are hiding.
