Because this slot machine certainly won’t.
It truly looks and sounds epic
By that we mean that it works beautifully as either an Android slot or an iOS slot. The sounds are fun, with a real Lord of the Rings feel to it.
And much like other Nektan games, the Heroic slot’s 20 paylines sits on a 5 by 4 reels, but with you being able to see the reel on top and above, making Heroic feel much larger in scale.
It brings a sense of drama to the whole thing. Talking of which, the graphics, with the waterfall cascading in the background, or the lava flaming during the free spins, just makes you want to love this slot game.
Shame then, that it utterly, utterly, fails.
A one star slot by any other name…
We played for about 2 hours. Longest 2 hours of our lives.
If this was a quest, it would be the bit in Game of Thrones when you get the 20 page description of the political history of each of the houses.
There’s some people out there who will enjoy it, but 90% of us want to get to the sex and bloody bits.
And whilst you won’t lose fast playing the Heroic video slot, winning anything of any notice is short of impossible.
The reason is that there’s no multipliers anywhere on these reels. The free spins come often, usually in sets of 10, sometimes 20, and mostly you’ll walk away with 10 times your bet.
Shame about the 5 wilds in a row, which in any other game give you the best wins, here only 50 times your bet. That’s it. That’s the top win. Bah!

Heroic Bonus Features
Wild Symbols: The dragon egg is the wild symbol. There's no multipliers, but if you get three on a winning payline, it counts like a 5 of a kind win. Kind of good. Sometimes.
Free Spins: 3 dragon symbols anywhere on the reels give you 10 free spins. 4 dragon symbols give you 20 free spins.
We have no idea how many free spins you get on 5 symbols (30? Logically?), as we've never seen it and the game doesn't say. And to be honest, we doubt we will play this game again to try and find out.
We've rarely won more than about 25 times our bet on this feature. Mostly you get 10 times or less.
At least you'll trigger it every 50 spins or so, so you'll get them often enough to see for yourself.
