How To Play Monopoly Big Event Mobile Slot
WMS and Barcrest have put their heads together and brought out a very tempting Monopoly slot. But is this a big event or just a trip to the pub?
Monopoly Big Event mobile slot is currently the only licensed Monopoly gambling game you’ll find at mobile casinos. So if you are a fan of the only game in history to create long-lasting family rifts, then this baby is for you.
However, just like the original board game rewarded those of you aggressive enough not to be a softhearted pansy, so Monopoly Big Events asks you the same.
But then, did you expect anything different from a WMS slot machine?
All about the Big Bet options
There are many bonus features in this video slot. We write about them in more detail in our features section below.
But the long and short of it is that… if you want to make the most of this mobile slot, you’ll have to play the big bet options. You might be familiar with this option from the WMS Ooh Aah Dracula slot.
That’s the button to the left, where you play 5 spins at either $20 or $30 a round (in your currency, we are using $ for convenience).
So that’s basically either $4 or $6 a spin. Which is no small deal. But the reason you want to click on this option is because it increases the return to player rate of the Monopoly Big Event slot from 96% to 99%.
Trust us, once you go big, it’s hard to go back to playing at 0.50 a spin.
More bonus features, more wins, bigger results
When you play on the big bet option it’s far easier to trigger the free spins (and decent 20x to 50x your bet wins in the base game).
And it’s the free spins that make the Monopoly Big Event slot machine worthwhile. Here you’ll pick how many free spins you get, how many guaranteed free spins you’ve won, and which of the three bonus features you get.
Personally, we’ve had the best (and worst) result with the locked wilds. The dancing wilds are probably the safest option if you can get them, but even if you don’t the chance of good results are decent as you can ‘jail’ symbols away from the board, allowing for more high paying symbols
Basically, the Monopoly Big Event video slot is pretty unforgiving if you are not willing to go all the way to in. But once you own the board, you’ll get a chain reaction of bonus features to make you don of the family.

Monopoly Big Event Bonus Features
Wilds: The standard wild symbol 'says' wild and replaces for all other symbols except the 'Big Monopoly Event' logo symbol and the 'in jail' bonus symbols.
Big Bet game: Here you have two options.
- Play 5 spins at $20 for the round: You get a progressively increasing multiplier on each of the spins, starting at 1x and ending at 5x.
- Play 5 spins at $30 for the round: A wheel will spins where you'll win one of three features. The first is the same as above; the progressive multiplier. The second is 5 spins, each with a 5x multiplier. Or the best, if the 5 free spins where the 'Big Monopoly Event' logo is wild and sticky. Meaning you are almost always guaranteed to enter the free spins.
To their credit, if you pick the $30 one, you'll mostly get the 5x multiplier or the sticky logos. Both are good, though one is particularly better.
The Monopoly Big Event free spins:
3 symbols trigger the big event. 4 symbols trigger the big event with a house sneak preview. 5 symbols gives you the big event with the hotel sneak preview.
The sneak preview tells you where the special house and hotel cards are hiding to trigger the special feature.
So what is the big event? Why a click me game before the free spins.
You'll alternate between picking a community chest card (which gives you free spins and guaranteed win free spins) and chance cards.
A few things to bear in mind:
- + Free spin bonus cards = you collect free spins - from +2 to +8. Usually you end up with 10 to 20 free games in total.
- + guaranteed win cards = these are telling you that from a total of your free spins, you are guaranteed that X amount will give you a win with a multiplier. So if you win 10 free spins, 3 of those 10 free spins will give you a guaranteed win with a little extra in cash prizes.
- The Hotel Locked free spins: these are the best of the game. Every time a wild shows up, it remains locked for the remainder of the free spins.
- The house roaming wild free spins: here you'll get an expanded wild guaranteed on each of the free spins.
- The dice chance cards: you get neither the house or hotel free spins. Just plain old free spins.
- The jail symbol: at any point during the free spins, the jail symbol could show up and will lock up the lower paying symbol, starting from 10, then J, Q, K and Ace. Obviously the less of these symbols on the reels, the more high paying symbols with a bigger winning combination potential.
If you are really clever, you'll realise that the free spins trigger after you uncover three of the same chance card. And if you get the sneak preview, you can try clicking on the other cards but the ones you know are house or hotel, giving you more tries at getting more free spins.
Top tip right there.
