How To Play Rainbow Riches Megaways Mobile Slot
Time to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (again) with everyone’s favourite Leprechaun (again) in a new Rainbow Riches Megaways slot… again.
There are so many Rainbow Riches slot machines out there, we can’t go through them again. The most popular is still, by far, the original, as you can read in our Rainbow Riches slot review.
So much like the others, they take the popular theme and add the Megaways slot mechanics under license from Big Time Gaming. It’s nothing like the original. You still get rainbows, pots of gold and lots of gems, but this is all about the avalanching reels, the bonus and the multipliers.
Should you buy the bonus bet? And bank your wins?
What’s nice here is that this is a little different from the other Megaways games, in that you can buy the free spin bonus at any point for 100x your bet.
Which isn’t new. What is new is that you can gamble to lose or win getting the bonus bet by playing a little spin the wheel game – so for 50x your bet, for example, you have a 50/50 chance of winning or not winning the free spins.
You can also bank all your wins, or some of the wins, to pay towards buying that bonus bets. We wouldn’t recommend doing all, but banking the small wins is a great way for you to know when you can press the buy the bonus button.
Is Rainbow Riches Megaways slot worth playing?
We gave this Rainbow Riches Megaways slot review 4 stars because it is ultimately a good Megaways game that is the same as Raging Rhino Megaways, Leo Vegas Megaways or even Medusa Megaways.
You get avalanching wins, which explode and give you another chance at a win, and those 6 reels that give you up to 117,649 ways to win. It’s so much fun, and when the free spins come around with those unlimited multipliers, it’s a joy.
It’s not new, it’s not unique, but that Leprechaun gets our cash once again. Good play Barcrest studios. Good play.

Rainbow Riches Megaways Bonus Features
Wild: The Lucky Horseshoe is the wild symbol and can be used to replace all other symbols in order to get a win.
Mystery Symbol: The multi-coloured gem is the super symbols, which will all turn into one of the same symbols.
Avalanching Reels: Every time you get a win, those winning symbols explode and more come tumbling down (or sideways on the top reel), giving you another chance to get another win. Those keep on coming for as long as you keep winning.
Free Spin Bonus: When 4 or more golden pot symbols are in view in the main reels you will be awarded 12 free spins. For each additional spin in view, you get a further 5+ spins.
On the top reel, you also get +1, +2, +3 symbols which add extra free spins to your Rainbow Riches Megaways bonus games.
More importantly, every single win and every cascade increases the multiplier by one.
Buy Pass: You can buy the free spin bonus for 100x your bet. You can also take a chance, which is where you spin a counter; if it lands on red, you don't win the free spins if you land on green you do win the free spins.
A 50/50 change only costs 50x your bet, a 3 quarter chance to win costs you 75x your bet, while a quarter chance to win only costs 25x your bet.
Bonus Bank: You can choose to turn on or off the bonus bank button, right next to the buy pass button.
- Bank Wins Off: All your wins go into your normal balance
- Bank All Wins: All your wins go towards paying for the Buy Pass bonus
- Bank Small Wins: Any wins of 3x your stake or less will go towards buying the Buy Pass Bonus
All this means, if you do decide to turn it on, is that the wins are taken off the bonus bank. So if you are playing $1 a spin, the bonus pass cost $100. If you win $3 and it goes in the bonus bank, the bonus pass now costs $97.
It's just a clever way to add up the cash so you know when to press the button. If you decide to quit the game, any money in the bonus bank is transferred back as real cash to your account, so you don't lose anything.
