Scientific Games, in case you didn’t know, are the mother company to a whole load of slot companies; though the one relevant to this discussion is no doubt WMS, or Williams Interactive.
Because they will be the ones crafting what will, no doubt, be years and years of James Bond slots.
We take a look at what this news means to their casino phone slots portfolio, which games we can expect first, and why you should be excited.
Will the James Bond slots be any good?
At last count, there were 24 James Bond movies. That’s 24 chances to try and get at least a couple of decent slot games on mobile.

And yes, Scientific Games have confirmed that:
“The exclusive agreement… gives Scientific Games the rights to leverage all past and future iconic James Bond films, as well as the film’s talent portraying James Bond.”
Bet you didn’t think we meant it when we said free ‘reign’, right?
Will your beloved James Bond movie be destroyed?
Probably not.
Scientific Games, and WMS mobile slots by default, create some of the best casino games around; and they are literally everywhere because of it.
We rarely give them anything less than a 3 star slot review, with most managing to get at least 4 stars.
Meanwhile, some of their slot machines have become iconic to players all over the world; from the Zeus 1,000 game to the most loved game by UK casino players ever; Rainbow Riches.
In short, they’ve create great games in the past, there’s no reason to suspect they will suddenly decide to screw it up now.
Which James Bond slot can we expect to see first?
We know there’s 24 movies, but let’s be honest, we probably won’t be getting 24 WMS James Bond online slots.
- 11 Free spins no deposit on Starburst
- 100% up to £€$200
- +£€$10 free on your first deposit
Because no one wants to see the 1967 Casino Royal slot movie that you probably never even knew existed.
Our guess?
- The awesome Casino Royal with Daniel Craig (2006)
- Goldfinger … the one that really set the template for all bonds (1964)
- From Russia with Love: spoiler, there’s going to be several Sean Connery bonds in this list (1963)
- You Only Live Twice: We get introduce to Blofeld, and then there’s Sean Connery all dress up (1967)
- The Spy Who Loved Me: Camp, but Roger Moore is the second most iconic bond (1977)
- Dr No: The one who started it all has to be on the list (1967)
- On Her Majesty’s Secret Service: this is our biggest gamble on this list, but one of the best Bond movies (1969)
- Skyfall: Daniel Craig is at it again, in a great origins film (2012)
- James Bond 25?
That’s our guesses.
Yes, it seems like a lot of slot movies, but WMS has the resources, and time, to make it happen.
Why these James Bond games?
Like we said; we are guessing here.
But there’s no way, now that they have the license, that we are not going to get at least one slot with James Bond by the end of 2017.
And whilst hardcore fans will no doubt think that Sean Connery should get first billing, we think Daniel Craig will be the first to show up on our slot screens, namely because it’s a more recent film.
Meaning, there’s more chance that more people have seen it, and therefore, will play this new slots game based on the most famous spy of all.
More importantly, they have the license for all future bond films.
So as soon as that is announced (they are still trying to find a director, never mind a Bond to replace Daniel Craig) expect the Film 25 James Bond slot to shoot straight up the list.
Why you should care about the new James Bond slots
At this point we are all making assumptions and guesses – so why does it matter?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to discuss this once we have more information; you know, like what spy slot will hit our screen, when, the game play, bonus features etc…
Sure. It would. Mr Boring McBoringPants.
But we don’t see you doing anything more important than reading our post about future slots that don’t exist yet, so we are going to pretend like you care.
The most iconic spy movie brand… ever
Bourne lovers might reject our statement, but think about this.
- Justice League
- Sherlock Holmes: The Hunt For Blackwood
- Michael Jackson King of Pop
- Game of Thrones
- Dracula
What other character in movie history has lasted over 50 years, through reboot over reboot, with different actors, all whilst still remaining basically the same?
On a personal note, that’s 50 years of people growing up, watching Bond, arguing about who is the best Bond, the best Q, the best film.
Just how sad would you be if WMS brought out a Bond casino game, but instead of giving you the kind of spy thrills you use to get watching Connery use a broken electric lamp to send an electric shock through the assassin’s teeth you get… Inspector Clouseau.
See? You do care after all.
Can anyone say: colossal reels?
It won’t surprise anyone here to hear that we love a gamble or two.
As such, we’d bet our James Bond figurine collection that at least one of the first 3 James Bonds slots online will have those famous colossal reels.
After all; it’s part of what made WMS famous to begin with, especially when they first released their Spartacus slot.
But, for our money, we hope they look more like their recently released Rainbow Riches Reels of Gold game which has a possible 7 bonus features.
Or maybe, they’ll go a little less colossal, but still unique, like in their 50 payline Bruce Lee phone slot.
Either way, you should be playing both these games, using a generous welcome bonus of £€1,200 over 5 deposits to help you play for longer.
And there’s only one great casino that will let you do that.
