The Flintstones slot game? That’s right – Playtech have released the video preview of its new game about the prehistoric crew, and we’re going to look into every detail.

Expect this title to hit online casinos sometime in late August, 2016, perhaps early September.

Let’s just say that this video slots casino provider isn’t great at being specific about timelines. But, at least we get the video, which is a nice anticipation of things to come.

Especially when it comes with such an iconic theme.

You’ll find all your favourite stone age characters – Barney, Betty, Wilma, and of course Fred himself.

If you’re not familiar with this cartoon (and if you’re not, we feel sorry for you), it’s basically a classic animated sitcom about a working-class husband and wife ,and their friends, jobs, and lives. The twist is that it is set in prehistoric times.

So instead of a golden retriever, Fred and Wilma have an enthusiastic, tail-wagging brontosaurus to greet them at the door. Instead of an electric vacuum cleaner, they use a baby mammoth (no electricity in the stone age, of course).

Is it still relevant for this day n age?

To be honest, it’s about time someone made an online slot game featuring the Flintstones and friends. This is, after all, one of the most popular animated series ever.

TV Guide once rated it the second greatest TV cartoon of all time, after the Simpsons.

The show’s first run was between 1960 and 1966, but it has had many different incarnations since then, including revivals of the cartoon and a couple of live action movies featuring John Goodman as Mr. Yabba Dabba Doo himself.

We didn’t say they were good, but you can’t deny that the appeal of this stone-age family continues even now, especially for a certain generation of players of mobile casinos.

In some ways, this looks like a pretty standard Playtech slot game.

So, what distinguishes it from all of the others out there, either in winning potential or enjoyability of game play?

The gameplay, however, looks genuinely fun, especially if you remember watching the Flintstones on TV.
